If you know the Malwani Church area in Malad West, you probably know how crowded it gets around the market lane. We are located right behind there, at 4 Ekveera Chawl on Marve Road. Geetanjali Group Of Companies is the name we use, though we are just a small group of people working out of a modest space. Mumbai is always moving fast and we are just trying to keep up with the daily rush. The office is in a chawl, so it is quite close-knit and you can always hear what is happening outside in the lane. It gets a bit hectic when the market is in full swing, especially in the evenings when everyone is out buying groceries. We spend most of our time sitting around the main table, handling whatever work comes our way. The rain in Mumbai can be a real problem for us since the lane gets muddy, but we just put on our boots and keep going. We have been in this spot for a while now and everyone in the building knows each other. It is not a shiny corporate office with glass walls, but it works for us. We drink a lot of cutting chai and try to finish our tasks before the traffic on Marve Road gets too bad for the commute home.
