Gautam Gifts

I run Gautam Gifts over in Kandivali East, specifically in the Shivane area. It’s a decent enough spot for a shop like this. We aren't on the main highway, so it's a bit more relaxed than some of the other places I've worked in. The shop is just a single room filled with whatever we could find that looks like it would make a good gift. We have dolls, some plastic cars for kids, and those sets of bowls that people give at weddings. I usually open up around eleven because the mornings are slow anyway. Most of our business happens after six in the evening when people are coming home from work. I spend a lot of my time just sitting on the plastic chair outside the front door, watching the cars go by. It’s a quiet life. The shop sign is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone in Shivane knows we are here. We don't have a website or anything like that, people just know us through word of mouth. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a bit even if they aren't buying anything. I don't mind, it makes the day go by faster. We keep things simple here. No big sales or fancy decorations, just a regular shop where you can get a gift for a fair price.
