Our office is located at A 302 in the Shree Chaitanya Co-op Society, right by Kharigaon Naka in Kalwa. It’s an interesting spot because we are situated inside a residential society, which gives the whole operation a very different feel than a typical factory or office building. Being in Thane, we deal with the humidity and the crowds at the station every day. Galaxy Surfactant Ltd handles a lot of technical stuff involving chemicals and ingredients for soaps and cleaners, but here in this office, it’s mostly about the planning and the paperwork. The room is filled with filing cabinets and a few old computers that have seen a lot of use over the years. We can hear the sounds of families living nearby—kids playing in the hallways or someone cooking lunch next door—which makes the workday feel a bit more grounded. It’s not a polished corporate environment with glass partitions. Instead, we have wooden desks and chairs that don't quite match. We usually have the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the creek nearby, though mostly it’s just the sound of the traffic from the Naka. We take our lunch breaks together, usually eating out of tiffins brought from home. It’s a very practical, low-key setup where we just focus on getting the orders processed and making sure everything is running smoothly. We’ve been part of this Kalwa neighborhood for a long time, and we like the simple way we do things here.
