G R Plastics

G R Plastics is tucked away in the Rocky Industrial Estate on I B Patel Road in Goregaon East. Our unit is number 16438, and it is usually quite loud inside because of the machines running all day long. The smell of heating plastic is just something you get used to after a few days of working here. It is an industrial area, so there are always big trucks blocked in the narrow lanes and people shouting over the noise of the factories. We spend most of our time watching the molds and making sure the plastic comes out the way it is supposed to. It is dusty work and by the end of the shift, everyone is usually tired and ready to head home. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a lobby; it is just the workshop and a small corner with a desk for the accounts. We’ve been in Goregaon for a while now and we know the other guys in the estate pretty well. Sometimes we help each other out with tools or when a machine breaks down and someone needs a hand. It is not a clean job, and your clothes usually get stained with grease, but it keeps us busy. We mostly deal with other local businesses who need parts made, so we don't see many walk-in customers. Every morning starts with the sound of the shutters going up and the machines humming to life until the evening comes.
