Our office is located at 31 1650 in Khernagar, Bandra. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Bandra can get, but our little corner in Khernagar feels a bit more like a regular working-class neighborhood. G P Kapadia Co has been operating from this same spot for quite some time. The building is older, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it serves us well enough. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. It’s just us sitting at our desks handling the paperwork and the daily tasks that come our way. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a blessing during the monsoon months when the air gets really heavy. We keep our files in old metal cabinets and our computers are usually humming all day long. Sometimes the local traffic outside gets so loud we have to close the windows tight. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just keeping the business running and making sure the accounts stay straight. It’s honest work. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years, so they don't care about the lack of a lobby. They just come in, sit on the plastic chairs, and we get to work. That is how we have always done things here. It’s simple, it’s a bit messy at times, but it works for everyone involved in the end.
