Freelance Project

I’ve got my setup in the Chandrakala Building, which is right on MG Road in Kandivali West. We are pretty close to the Kala Hanuman Temple, so there is always a lot of activity around here. The address is 26 27, and it’s where I handle all the different things that come under my freelance projects. It’s hard to pin down exactly what I do every day because it changes depending on who needs help. Sometimes it’s organizing things for a client, and other times it’s managing a small job that needs to get finished on a tight schedule. The building is older, and you can hear the street noise from MG Road all day long, but I’ve gotten used to it. I don’t have a fancy corporate office with leather chairs. It’s a practical space with some desks, some filing cabinets, and a lot of paper. My work is mostly about solving problems as they come up. I’ve been in this part of Mumbai for a long time, so I know most of the shopkeepers and neighbors. It’s a busy environment, which suits the kind of work I do. I don't really have a big mission or a vision statement. I just take the projects that come my way and try to do a decent job so people come back next time. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it’s mine and I like the independence.
