The factory is situated near Vikhroli Station, right in Firoz Shah Nagar. Being so close to the station means we hear the trains all day long, which you get used to after a week or so. At Godrej Voice Manufacture, we spend most of our shifts on the floor dealing with the actual production side of things. It's a manufacturing unit, so there's always the smell of metal and the hum of machines running in the background. We don't have a big fancy office; it's mostly just work benches and shipping crates. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we see each other at the local tea stalls during breaks. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, especially during the summer months when the roof heats up. We make sure the parts are sorted and everything is boxed up correctly before the trucks come by for pickup. Sometimes the logistics get a bit messy, especially when deliveries are late, but we manage. Firoz Shah Nagar is a busy spot, and our gates are always open for the workers coming in for the morning shift. It's not a glamorous place by any means. It's just a factory where we put things together and get them out the door. We’ve been part of this industrial area for a long time, and we just keep doing what needs to get done every day. There is always a lot of heavy lifting to do before the final whistle.
