Das Electronics

Das Electronics is tucked away in the Sagar Industrial Estate in Vasai East. We are in Building No. 5-A, Gala No. 3. The area is called K. N. Dhumal Nagar in Waliv. It’s quite a distance from the main city, out in the Thane district. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by workshops and other small factories. It’s a lot of concrete and metal around here. Our gala is where all the work happens. It’s a bit cramped with all the parts and tools we have lying around, but we know where everything is. The roads in Waliv can be a bit rough, especially after the monsoon. We’ve been here for a good number of years. It’s not a glamorous place. We have benches, soldering irons, and testing equipment all over. There’s usually some radio playing in the background while we work. We don't get many random walk-ins because of where we are located. Most people come to us because they have something specific that needs fixing or making. We just put our heads down and do the work. It’s a long commute for some of us, but this is where our shop is. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the industrial estate, the sound of the shutters opening in the morning and the lorries moving through the lanes. It’s just a normal factory life for us.
