Farmfoods

We’re up on the sixth floor of Anand Mangal Complex on Sai Baba Road in Khar East. It’s a typical Mumbai office building, always something going on in the hallways and people shouting in the lobby. Farmfoods is what we call ourselves, and we’ve been working out of Wing A for a while now. The view from room 602 isn't much to talk about, mostly just more buildings and the sky, but it’s home for us during the day. We spend most of our time dealing with food products, which involves a lot of talking to suppliers and sorting out deliveries. Khar East is a busy area, so there’s always a bit of background noise from the station and the traffic. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us sitting around our desks, trying to keep everything organized. Sometimes the AC makes a weird rattling sound, but we’re used to it by now. We focus on getting the food items to where they need to be without too much trouble. It’s a practical business. We aren't into big corporate slogans; we just prefer to handle the orders and make sure the accounts are right. Every now and then we bring in lunch and eat together at the big table in the back. It’s a simple way of working, but it’s how we’ve always done it here in Mumbai. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
