Famous Auto Repair isn't some high-end showroom where everything is sparkling clean. It’s a garage. We’ve got grease on our clothes and tools scattered around because that’s how you actually fix a car. The traffic outside is constant, and the noise from the street usually blends in with the sound of wrenches hitting metal. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. People bring their cars in when something starts making a weird noise or when the engine just gives up. We take a look, figure out what’s wrong, and try to get it running again. It’s dusty and hot, especially in the afternoons, but we’re used to it. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought it would because parts are hard to find or the car is just old. That’s just part of the deal. We don’t spend much time sitting around. There is always another vehicle waiting in the lot. We know the regulars who live around here and the ones who just happen to break down nearby. It’s a simple setup. We open up in the morning, work until the jobs are finished, and then do it all again the next day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
