Sunrise Co-Op. Hsg. Soc. is where you can find us. We are at number 9, right in Datar Colony in Bhandup East. Being in Mumbai means space is always tight, and our office for Fabindia Overseas Pvt.Ltd is no exception. It’s tucked away in a residential area, so we get to hear the normal sounds of the neighborhood all day long. The local trains are just a short trip away, which is how most of us get here. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got a couple of rooms filled with computers and files. It’s not a fancy glass building, but it does the job. We spend most of our time tracking shipments and making sure the paperwork is actually correct for once. The humidity in Mumbai can be a real pain, so we’re always fiddling with the fans. We don’t have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. You just walk in and someone will probably be talking loudly on a mobile. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get new stock in, and boxes end up in the hallway. We’ve been here in Bhandup for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the quirks of the building. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to keep things moving. There’s no big secret to how we work, we just show up and do the bit that needs doing that day. It keeps us quite busy.
