Our spot is in Ghatkopar West, right on the ground floor of Sagar Bonanza. It’s a busy place, especially being so close to the Airport Road and the Wind Tunnel Road area near Murugeshpalya. Export India Packers Movers has been operating out of here for a while, and the floor is usually covered in rolls of tape and flattened cardboard boxes. Moving people’s stuff is hard work, and there’s no way around that fact. You spend your day lifting heavy furniture and trying to fit it through narrow doorways without scratching the paint. It’s mostly about being careful and knowing how to pack a truck so things don’t slide around when the driver hits a pothole. We get all kinds of jobs, from people moving just a few streets away to families going across the city. The office gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we’re usually out on a job anyway. We don't have a big marketing team or anything polished like that. We just show up with the packing materials and get to it. Some days are exhausting, especially when we have to carry things up five flights of stairs because the elevator is out. But it’s what we do. We’ve gotten pretty good at guessing how many boxes a kitchen will take. It’s a practical business, and we just focus on getting the items from one place to the next in one piece.
