Our little spot is called Ensemble, and we’re tucked away in Flat 8 of Building 7B. This is inside the Navjeevan Society over in the Chembur Camp area of Mumbai. If you know Chembur, you know it’s a crowded place with a lot of history and a lot of noise. Being in a society building means we have neighbors all around us, so we try to keep things relatively quiet, though the sounds of the camp always leak in through the windows. It’s not a huge office, just a flat that we’ve turned into a workspace. We have 400074 as the pin code. Living and working in Mumbai means you get used to small spaces and long commutes. We’ve got our desks shoved into the rooms and plenty of cables running across the floor. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in at the same time. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist or anything like that. You just come up to the eighth flat and knock. Usually, there’s some tea being made and someone is talking on the phone. It’s a very local way of doing things. Chembur Camp has its own vibe, very different from the rest of the city, and we’ve sort of become part of that fabric. We just do our work, manage our projects, and deal with the Mumbai humidity like everyone else. It’s a simple, honest setup for our small team.
