Being based in Borivali East, Mumbai, means we are right in the middle of everything. Our office is a place where we deal with all sorts of IT stuff. It is not like those giant tech campuses you see on the news. It is a regular room with a lot of computers, cables, and guys who know how to fix things. Mumbai traffic is always a factor, so half the morning is usually spent talking about how long it took to get in. Once we settle down, it is mostly about coding, fixing bugs, and making sure servers stay up. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want the software to work like it is supposed to. Sometimes we get stuck on a problem for hours and have to walk around the block just to clear our heads. We eat lunch together at the desks more often than not. It is a casual environment. No one wears a tie here. We prefer it that way because it is easier to focus on the screens. If something breaks over the weekend, someone usually has to jump on and fix it from home. That is just the way IT goes. We have been in Borivali for a while and we know the local spots for good snacks. It is a decent way to earn a living, solving puzzles on a screen all day with a group of people you actually like. We keep the air conditioning cold and the coffee hot.
