If you come down to Charkop, you'll find us at Eden House. It's in the Government Industrial Estate, right at 74-B. The area is always loud with the sound of other factories and trucks backing up. We’ve been here in Kandivli West for a good number of years now. Inside the building, the air always smells like lavender or jasmine, which is a nice change from the exhaust fumes outside on the main road. We have a small team of workers who know the machines better than they know their own kitchens. It's not a glamorous place. There are stacks of cardboard boxes everywhere and the floor has some scuff marks from the heavy trolleys. We spend a lot of time checking the seals on bottles and making sure the labels aren't crooked. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate and we all just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It gives us a chance to chat with the guys from the metal shop next door. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly because there is always another order to fill. We don't use fancy titles here; everyone just pitches in where they are needed. It’s hard work, but seeing the trucks leave with our name on the side feels like we’ve actually done something today.
