We are up on the 6th floor of the Spaghetti building in G-Block, Kharghar. It’s a funny name for a building, but everyone in Navi Mumbai seems to know it. Ecity Media Pvt Ltd has been here for a while now. The view from the window is mostly of other tall buildings and some hills in the distance when it isn't too hazy. The office is full of screens and cables. Since we work in media, there is always something playing or being edited. It can get a bit loud when everyone is talking at once or when the air conditioner is struggling with the afternoon sun. We aren't a big flashy agency; we are just a group of people who know how to handle digital files and video stuff. The elevator in this building is often slow, so we end up waiting around a lot in the lobby. There’s a small cafeteria downstairs where we get our coffee. We don't wear suits or anything like that. Most of us just show up in jeans and get to work. The desks are a bit cluttered with hard drives and coffee mugs. It’s a practical space where we spend a lot of hours. Kharghar is a bit far from the main city, but it’s quieter and there’s more room to breathe. We just keep our heads down and finish the projects as they come in. We try to leave before the evening rush hits the trains.
