Dynamic Binding

Dynamic Binding operates out of No. 37 Ashirwad Bungalow. We are right by the Pragati Bus Stop in Gorai, Borivali West. It’s a bit unusual because we are in a residential-style bungalow rather than a big industrial warehouse. This makes the atmosphere a lot quieter than most binding shops. You can hear the buses pulling up to the stop outside every ten minutes or so. Inside, the rooms are filled with the smell of glue and freshly printed paper. We have stacks of books and reports waiting to be finished on almost every flat surface. Our equipment takes up most of the space in the main rooms, so it’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of work. We don't have a big sign outside, so most people just look for the Ashirwad Bungalow name. The staff is small, and we usually work with the windows open to let in the breeze from the coast. Sometimes the glue gets on our clothes or the floor, but that’s just part of the trade. We’ve been in this Borivali West neighborhood for a while and the neighbors don't seem to mind the occasional noise from our machines. It’s a simple operation where we just focus on getting the pages straight and the covers on tight. It’s nice being in a bungalow because it feels more like a home than a cold office. We just take it one book at a time.
