Down in Vile Parle (W), things move pretty fast. Being part of the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal means we have deep roots in this neighborhood. Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College Of Engineering is right in the thick of it. You can hear the city noise from the windows, but inside, the focus is usually on the textbooks and the machines. We see a lot of students rushing from the station to get to their lectures on time. It is a tight-knit spot where everyone seems to know each other. The halls are often crowded between classes, and you can hear a mix of languages as people talk about their exams or where to grab lunch nearby. We do not really do anything flashy. The building has its own rhythm, and we just follow it. From the staff room to the labs, there is always something going on. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we take the stairs. It is just a normal place where people come to learn and work every day. The office gets busy with paperwork, especially during the start of the term. We keep things running as best as we can. Vile Parle is a crowded place, but we have made our own space here. It feels like home after you have been here a few months. Most of the people working here live nearby and know the local shops and the best places for a quick snack.
