Dujodwala Chemical Ltd

Our office is down in the Cotton Green area, specifically at 55 153 New Bawan Chawl. It’s on Veer Tanaji Malusare Marg, which used to be called Ferbunder. It’s a very old part of Mumbai, full of history and old buildings. The chawl itself has been here forever. Our space for Dujodwala Chemical Ltd is tucked inside, and it’s a bit of a maze if you don’t know your way around. We deal with chemicals, so there’s always a lot of paperwork regarding shipments and safety. The room is small and the ceiling is high. We have some old fans that creak when they turn, but they do the job. The area outside is always loud with trucks and laborers moving goods. It’s not a place for a fancy suit; we mostly wear simple clothes because of the dust and the heat. Sometimes the smell of the sea comes in when the wind blows the right way. We’ve been operating from this Chawl for a long time. It’s a bit worn out, and the stairs are steep, but it works for us. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the name on the door. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for years. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, in this busy corner of Mumbai 400033. It’s not pretty, but it’s where we get things done.
