We run Drising Infotech out of Ambika Nagar in Mumbai, zip code 400060. It’s a typical Mumbai neighborhood, crowded and full of life every single day. Our place is tucked into a spot where we can focus on our work without too much noise from the main street. We deal with information technology in a very hands-on way. Whether it is a software issue or a hardware breakdown, we spend our hours looking for solutions that actually work. We don't have a glossy storefront; it’s more of a dedicated work area for us. Being in Mumbai means we see a huge variety of people and problems. Some days we are helping a student with a laptop, other days we are talking to a small business owner about their network problems. We’ve been at it for some years now and have learned a lot along the way. We aren't a big corporation with departments and managers. It’s just a small group of us who understand how these machines work. We keep things pretty simple here. We show up, we see what needs fixing, and we get to work. Sometimes the humidity in Mumbai messes with the electronics, so we deal with a lot of those kinds of issues. It’s just part of the job. We like the community here in Ambika Nagar and plan to stay for as long as we can. There is a small tea stall nearby where we go when we need a break.
