We are up on the second floor of the Premsons Industrial Estate. The unit number is B/204. It’s on Caves Road in Jogeshwari East. If you know this area, you know how crowded the industrial estates can get. There’s always someone moving crates or a truck blocking the driveway. We’ve been here for a long time now, and the building has seen better days. The lift breaks down occasionally, so we end up carrying things up the stairs more than we’d like. It’s a family business, just us brothers mostly. We handle various goods, mostly wholesale stuff. The office is small and usually covered in invoices and old newspapers. We don’t really have a reception area, people just walk right into the workspace. It’s noisy because of the other units in the building, but we’re used to it. We drink a lot of tea and try to get the orders out on time. Jogeshwari is a tough place to navigate, but it’s where all the action is for businesses like ours. We don’t do any advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for twenty years. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping track of numbers in a ledger. The windows are a bit grimy from the city soot, but they let in enough light to see what we are doing. We just keep our heads down and get the work finished without making any fuss about it.
