Donil Jewellers

If you know S.V. Road in Santacruz West, you probably know how crowded it gets around here. Our shop, Donil Jewellers, is located at 502 Regal. We have been in this spot for a good bit of time. It’s a straightforward setup where we mostly look at pieces, talk to people who walk in, and handle repairs or custom requests. We aren't one of those massive showrooms with bright flashing lights. It's just a regular place where we keep our stock and wait for customers to drop by. Most people who come in are from the neighborhood, though sometimes we get folks traveling through Santacruz. Dealing with gold and stones is what we do all day. It takes a lot of patience to look at the fine details, and our eyes get tired by the evening. The traffic outside on S.V. Road is always loud, but inside it’s usually calm enough to focus. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases and making sure everything is organized. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, nothing too formal. We just try to be honest about what we have on the shelves. Sometimes we're busy resizing a ring for someone getting married, and other times we're just checking the current market rates. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. We like being in Santacruz because there is always something happening right outside the door. We don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
