Divya Yoga Ashram

You can find us in Dadar East at number 103. It’s a busy area, especially with the station nearby, but our spot stays fairly calm most of the time. Divya Yoga Ashram isn’t a luxury spa or anything like that. It’s a basic room where we do our practice and help others do the same. We have some storage for yoga mats in the corner and a small area where we keep our shoes. The floor is kept very clean because we spend so much time on it. The paint is peeling a little bit near the ceiling, but it doesn't bother anyone. We get a lot of people coming in before they head to their jobs in the morning. The light in the early hours is actually quite nice through the side windows. We don't have a big reception desk or someone in a suit greeting you. You just come in, find a spot, and get started. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. We’ve had the same old clock on the wall for years and it still keeps perfect time. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but you just learn to tune it out. We like being in Dadar because it’s central and easy for people to reach. It’s a practical place for a practical kind of lifestyle. We just keep things running and make sure there’s enough space for everyone who shows up to practice with us without making it complicated.
