Dipanraval

I’m Dipan Raval and I run things from 18 Vasant Vilas. It’s located on Dr. D.D. Sathe Marg in Girgaum. If you know Mumbai, you know Girgaum is an old neighborhood with a lot of history and very narrow lanes. Vasant Vilas is one of those traditional buildings. It’s got high ceilings and that old-style feel. I’ve stayed in this area for a long time. The street outside is always full of life, with shops and people walking everywhere. It’s not the easiest place for cars, so most people just walk or take a taxi. My space is on the 18th unit of the building. It’s a bit cramped because I have a lot of stuff stored here, but I know where everything is. It’s a very local vibe. I usually keep the door open a crack to let some air in, though it brings in the noise of the street too. I like being in South Mumbai. Everything feels close, even if it’s crowded. I spend my days handling various bits of work and talking to the people who drop by. There is a specific smell to this area, a mix of old wood and the nearby sea. It’s not a shiny new office, but it works for me. I don’t see any reason to move. I’m comfortable here in this little corner of the city. It's just my way of living.
