Digicable Network India Pvt Ltd is found over in Andheri East. We’re at 36 12 Vatsala Niketan Society, which is part of the Tarun Bharat Society in Chakala, Mumbai 99. The city is always moving fast, and this area is no exception. Our office is tucked away in this society, so it feels a bit more like a home than a workplace. We handle cable network stuff for the surrounding blocks. There’s always a pile of routers or cables near the entrance. The rooms are a bit small, and we have to weave around the furniture to get to the back. It gets quite loud when the phones start ringing all at once. Usually, someone is complaining about their connection or asking for a new setup. We just write it down in a notebook and send someone out when they’re free. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. It’s just about getting the signal to work. The staff knows the shortcuts around Chakala to avoid the worst of the traffic. Sometimes we sit out on the steps during a break. It’s just a normal job with normal people. We’ve been in this building for years, and the neighbors are used to seeing us carrying ladders and wires back and forth. It’s just how we spend our days in Mumbai. It isn't always smooth, especially when the monsoon hits, but we do what we can to keep the wires dry and the TVs on for everyone in the area.
