Devadiga Center

Devadiga Center is tucked away in the Hind Tej Building over in Dadar East. Mumbai is always moving fast, and this part of the city is no different. We are at 70-A, and it’s one of those spots that’s been part of the neighborhood fabric for years. Inside, it’s mostly just us doing our daily tasks. The hallways in this building have seen a lot of feet walk through over the decades. It’s not a shiny new glass tower. It feels like real Mumbai here. We deal with all sorts of people coming in for different reasons. Some days are quiet, and other times the phones won't stop ringing. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we know the local chai shops and the shortcuts through the Dadar crowds. There’s no big fancy reception desk with a person in a suit. It’s more likely you’ll find someone working at a wooden desk piled with papers. We do our work and go home. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually, but for now, they hold up just fine. We don't spend much time worrying about looking perfect. It’s more about being here when we’re supposed to be. People know where to find us if they need anything related to the center. It’s just a practical space for the community and our daily operations. We've been in this building for quite a while now.
