You can find us in 304 Rajdeep Apartments, which is tucked away on Tank Lane in Santacruz West. It is right behind the Seasons store, so that is usually the landmark we tell people to look for when they get lost. The lane is quite narrow and gets very crowded during the evening rush in Mumbai. The building itself is an older apartment block, and the elevator is one of those small ones with the manual grill doors that you have to slide shut yourself. Our office is on the third floor, and the hallway outside is always a bit dark even during the day. Inside, we have a few desks squeezed into the main room. The windows look out onto the rooftops of the neighboring buildings. You can hear the sounds of the city constantly—horns honking, people shouting, and the distant rumble of the train passing by. The air feels a bit heavy because we are so close to the sea, and the paint on the window frames is starting to peel. We have a small table where we keep our lunch boxes and a water filter. It is a very typical Mumbai workspace where every inch of floor is used for something. We don't have any flashy signs, just a small nameplate on the door. It is a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in at once, but we have gotten used to it.
