Desai Trading Company

We are located on the first floor of the A Z Industrial Premises. Being right next to Peninsula Corporate Park makes it easy for people to find us, though the traffic in Lower Parel is always a total nightmare during rush hour. Desai Trading Company has been around for a long time. We deal with various goods, mostly industrial stuff that people need for their factories or smaller workshops around the city. The office is always full of samples and boxes stacked up against the walls. It’s a bit cramped, but we know where everything is kept. My brother and I run the place mostly, with two other guys helping with the heavy loading and unloading. Sometimes the rain leaks a bit near the window during the monsoon season, so we have to move the stock around to keep it dry. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people just call us or drop by because they’ve been buying from us for decades. Lower Parel has changed a lot, with all these huge malls and glass buildings, but our little corner in the industrial estate feels the same as it did twenty years ago. We start early, around 9 AM, and stay until the last delivery is sorted. It’s noisy because of the constant construction nearby, but you get used to it after a while. We just focus on getting the right items to the right people without making a big fuss about it.
