Desai Pathology Lab

We’ve been running Desai Pathology Lab for quite some time now, right here in the Gurbaksh Singh Punjabi Chawl. If you know the area, we are just opposite Shankar Tailor, which most people use as a landmark when they’re looking for us. It’s not a fancy place with glass walls or big signs, but we keep it clean and do our work properly. Every morning starts early because that is when most folks want to get their blood drawn before heading off to their jobs. We have the usual stuff you’d expect like needles, tubes, and the machines for testing. Sometimes the chawl gets a bit noisy with kids playing outside or neighbors chatting, but inside the lab, we try to stay focused. We handle all sorts of routine tests that the local doctors ask for. It’s mostly just us working through the samples and making sure the names on the vials are correct. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know us from word of mouth or because they live nearby. The space is small, but it fits what we need. Dealing with patients all day means we see a lot of different faces, some worried and some just wanting to get it over with. We just give them their reports when they are ready. It is a simple setup, really. Just a local lab trying to get the job done right in the neighborhood.
