Working out of Powai Planet here in Mumbai is quite an experience. We are located at 23B, and it’s a spot that stays busy because of where we are in Maharashtra. The office isn't anything too flashy, just a functional space where the Deloitte Consulting India crew gets together to work. Mumbai is always moving fast, and we feel that energy even inside. We spend a lot of our time on calls or staring at spreadsheets, which is just the nature of the consulting business. The building has its quirks, like the security check-in that takes forever on Monday mornings, but we’ve gotten used to it. There are plenty of places nearby to grab a quick bite, so lunch is usually whatever we can find quickly. We don't have a dedicated lunchroom, so we often just eat at our desks while chatting about whatever show everyone is watching. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the street below, but it’s nice to see the city life. We keep things pretty simple here. There aren't any motivational posters or fancy lounge chairs. It’s just desks, chairs, and a lot of cables everywhere. It feels like a real workspace where people actually do things. We’re just a bunch of professionals trying to get through the daily pile of work in this corner of Powai. It is our home base for now and it fits us.
