Our place, Deepak Lastic, is located right at 3/3 in Garib Janta Nagar. If you’re familiar with Chembur West, you know the area along the K.D. Railway Line. It’s a lively neighborhood with a lot of movement. We have been operating out of this small unit for quite some time now. It’s a humble space, but it’s where all the work happens. Living and working near the railway line means you always hear the trains passing by, which has just become part of the background noise for us. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. Usually, it’s just us inside getting things ready. We handle everything right here. People from around the area know us mostly by word of mouth. It’s easier that way. We try to keep things simple and avoid making a big fuss about what we do. The space is a bit tight, but we make it work by staying organized. Every morning we open up the shutters and get started. It’s a lot of manual work and paying attention to the details. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we’ve stayed right here in Janta Nagar. It’s a convenient spot for us to get materials in and out, even if the lanes are a bit narrow. If you're looking for us, just head towards the railway line and ask for the unit at number 3/3. We’re usually around till late evening.
