Deepak Instruments

Down in Bhandup West, you’ll find our small shop, Deepak Instruments. It’s been our base for a long time. The place is usually filled with various tools and pieces of equipment we work on. It’s not a large showroom or anything like that, just a functional space where we spend most of our hours. Some days are quieter than others, giving us time to organize the shelves, though they never stay neat for very long. We started out with just a couple of workbenches and added things as we went along. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, with new buildings coming up all around us. We still prefer the old way of doing things, taking our time with each piece of equipment that comes across the desk. It’s steady work. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who know how things run. Sometimes the light in the back room flickers, but we’ve gotten used to it by now. People find us because they need something specific fixed or checked. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to look up a part. Mostly, it's just hands-on stuff. If you're looking for us, we're usually tucked away behind the main road. It gets a bit dusty with all the work going on, but it’s a good place to be. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks without making much noise about it. It’s been our life for decades.
