Dayawanti Tikamdas Hall

Dayawanti Tikamdas Hall is situated on Plot No 744, P D Hinduja Marg in Khar West. If you know the area, it’s right opposite Sheetal Restaurant. This is a very busy part of Mumbai, and finding space here is always a challenge. The hall has been around for quite some time now and it shows its age a little bit, which I think gives it some personality. It’s not one of those modern, glass-walled event spaces you see in the newer parts of the city. We have high ceilings and the fans are quite old but they still work fine. People usually book the hall for small family gatherings or local community meetings. It’s a very practical space. The walls are a bit plain and we don’t provide any decorations ourselves, so people usually bring their own stuff to make it look how they want. Outside, the street is always noisy with cars and people walking to the station. Sometimes it’s hard to hear inside if there’s a big truck passing by. We have a small area for catering setups in the back, but it’s nothing fancy. The local kids sometimes play around the entrance when it’s not being used. It’s just a neighborhood hall that serves its purpose for the people living in Khar and Andheri. We don't have a big marketing team or anything, just a few people who manage the bookings and keep the keys.
