Dave Traders

Dave Traders is located at 136 in the old Bombay Talkies Compound in Malad West. It’s a place with a lot of history, though these days it’s mostly filled with businesses like ours instead of movie stars. Our space is more of a warehouse than a fancy shop. We have boxes stacked high toward the ceiling and the floor is concrete. Most of our day is spent checking inventory, talking to suppliers, and getting orders ready to go out. It can be a bit dusty and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for what we need. We don't have a polished sales pitch. If you need something we trade in, we tell you the price and when we can get it to you. We've been in Malad for years and we like the grit of the compound. There is always someone moving something on a trolley or a truck trying to navigate the narrow entrance. We aren't trying to change the world, we just want to run a decent trading business and treat our workers right. The afternoon sun hits the front of the unit pretty hard, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It’s a simple life, focused on moving goods and keeping the books balanced. We aren't big on technology for the sake of it, we just use what helps us get the job done and keeps our customers coming back year after year.
