Dalip Verman

Our place is tucked away in Kandivali West, specifically over in Ilyas Nagar at 551 A 7. If you know the Jamia Masjid Main Road, then you know exactly where Dalip Verman is located. It’s a lively part of the city and there is always something going on outside the window. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. The office is basically just a room with enough space for our files and a couple of computers that have seen better days. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work. Most days are just spent dealing with the local crowd and making sure everything is in order. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule. If someone needs to leave early for a family thing, they just do it. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops, so it feels very connected. We often hear the calls from the mosque while we’re finishing up our afternoon work. It’s a familiar sound that marks the passage of the day. We don't spend money on big signs or anything flashy. People just find us by word of mouth mostly. We like it that way because it keeps things honest. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the road a bit messy, but we just put some cardboard down and keep going. It’s just how life is here in this part of Mumbai. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else because this feels like home.
