You can find us in Chembur, tucked away at Ekta Mitra Mandal in Ahire Chawl. We are specifically in Room 1 on Lokhande Marg. A good landmark to look for is the Ambedkar High School nearby. It is not the easiest place to find if you are new to the area, as it’s a bit of a maze back here. This is where we run Dainik Saamana Prabodhan Prakashan. It is a small space, and we have it packed to the ceiling with files and stacks of old newspapers. The room gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that do their best. It is a real neighborhood environment. You can hear the sounds of the school kids playing and the local vendors calling out on the street. We are not some big corporate publishing house with a fancy lobby. We are just local people working in a local chawl. Most of us have been here for years. We drink a lot of tea and spend our time getting the work done. There is no sense in trying to look bigger than we are. We like the grit and the reality of this part of Mumbai. It’s a busy life, and things can get a bit chaotic when we are on a deadline. But we wouldn't have it any other way. It is just a regular office in a regular neighborhood, filled with people who know how to work hard.
