Akshar Mudran

Akshar Mudran is located in the Kasturchand Mills Estate, specifically at A- 7 on Dr. M.C. Jawle Road. We are quite close to the Kabutarkhana in Dadar (West), and the Janta Bank is a good landmark if you are looking for the entrance. This part of Dadar is always crowded, and the old mill estate has a very specific feel to it with its high ceilings and thick walls. Inside our space, there is a lot of paper and the smell of ink is everywhere. It is not the most organized place in the world, as there are always stacks of things waiting to be moved or finished. We have been working out of this spot for a long time and have seen many other businesses come and go. Most of us take the local train to get here, so we are always talking about the delays or how crowded the platforms were that morning. The office area is just a couple of desks pushed together in one corner. We don't have meetings in glass boardrooms; we usually just talk across the room while we work. There is a small shop nearby that makes great vada pav, which is where we go when we are too busy to sit down for a proper meal. The building can get a bit damp when the monsoon hits, but we just cover everything with plastic and keep going. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of place.
