D S Computer Academy

Our place, D S Computer Academy, is in Shop No 8 of the Omshivai Building, A-1 Wing. We are near the Tata Power station on Gulmohar Road in Devipada, Borivali East. In this local spot, we have a few rows of computers set up for people to learn. Because we’ve added them one by one over the years, the chairs are mismatched. When all the machines are running in the afternoon, it gets a bit warm even with the fans on. Helping people get comfortable with technology and teaching basic things is what we do. This is not a huge institute with hundreds of students. Usually, only a few people are in here at a time. Since we live nearby, it’s a short walk for us to get to work. If the internet goes slow, we just have to wait, but that’s how it is. We keep the manuals on a shelf by the door. Without a big staff, it is just us and a lot of patience. People from around the Borivali East area stop by to ask about classes. A fancy reception desk isn't something we have; we just talk to everyone at the main table. The setup is very simple but it serves the purpose. We have been here for a while and plan to stay. Sometimes the printer jams and we spend ten minutes fixing it while students wait. We just try to help everyone learn.
