D. D. Jewels

You can find D. D. Jewels right at 33, Dagina Bazar on Mumbadevi Road. It’s a very crowded area, especially during the festival seasons. We have been operating out of this shop for years, and the walls have seen a lot of history. Most of our day is spent sitting behind the counter, looking at small pieces and talking to people who walk in from the street. It’s a traditional setup, nothing like those big modern malls you see nowadays. We have our regulars who come in because they’ve known us for a long time. The street outside is always loud with bikes and people shouting, but inside we just focus on the jewelry. We handle repairs, look at stones, and weigh metal. It requires a lot of patience and good eyesight. Sometimes we stay late because a customer came in right at closing time, and you can't just tell them to leave. The Dagina Bazar area is famous for this kind of work, so we are surrounded by people doing the same thing. It keeps us on our toes. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just show people what we have in the cases and tell them the price. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. The shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have.
