D C Kurani

Malad East is where we are based, specifically in the area known as Malad 15. If you've ever been to Mumbai, you know how crowded it gets around here. Our space is tucked away in one of the busy streets. D C Kurani isn't a big flashy firm. It's more of a personal setup where we handle local business. The trains are quite close, so you can always hear them rumbling in the distance if it’s a quiet morning, though it’s rarely quiet in Malad. There are shops all around us, selling everything from mobile covers to snacks. Our office is small, just enough room for a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If the door is open, you just walk in. I usually spend my time on the phone or working through a stack of invoices. It gets really humid during the monsoon, and sometimes the street outside floods a little, but we just put the bags up on the shelves and carry on. It's just the way things are in this part of the city. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. It’s a very local operation and we like it that way. No big corporate meetings, just regular work with regular people. That’s about all there is to say.
