You have to take the elevator up to the 6th floor at Khar West to find us. We occupy Office No 601 and 602, which sounds like a lot of space but it gets cramped once you fill it with desks and flat files. There are windows that look out over the rooftops, which is nice when you need to rest your eyes from looking at a computer monitor all day. We do design work, which mostly means a lot of sketching and then clicking a mouse for hours. It’s a mess of blueprints and half-finished models made of foam board. We don't have a receptionist in a fancy suit. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. We’ve been in Khar West for a long time and we like the energy of the area, even if the traffic makes us late sometimes. The office gets a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we don't mind. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to make sure the drawings we send out are accurate and that the buildings actually work for the people living in them. We drink a lot of tea and sometimes we argue about the best way to fit a staircase into a tight corner. It’s just what we do, day in and day out, in these two small rooms.
