Finding us isn’t too hard if you look for the Vikas Flour Mill in Ambernath West. We are right opposite that, down Khuntavli Road in Methalnagar. The shop is at room 1441, which is basically a workshop where we deal with combustion systems and all the heavy parts that go with them. It gets pretty loud and dusty around here with the mill right across the way and the trucks coming in and out all morning. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get things done. The floor is usually covered in tools and metal bits, and there's always the smell of grease or something being welded. Thane West is a busy place to be based, but Ambernath has its own rhythm. It's a lot of manual work and checking pipes or burners until they sit right. We have a small desk in the corner for the paperwork, but nobody spends much time there if they can help it. The fan overhead mostly just moves the hot air around during the summer months. Lunch is usually brought from home in tiffins, and we sit wherever there’s a clear spot. It’s honest work, and we stay busy enough to not worry about much else. We’ve been at this for a long time now in this same little corner of the district.
