Corniche Restaurant

We are over at B 15 in the Gagangiri Society, right on Carter Road in Khar West. If you know the Cafe Coffee Day around here, we are quite close to that. Mumbai life is always fast, but being near the water at Carter Road makes it feel a bit different. Corniche Restaurant has been part of this neighborhood for some time now. We have a mix of indoor and outdoor feel, though the humidity can be a bit much some days. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just open the doors, prep the kitchen, and wait for people to come in. The evening time is usually when it gets really lively. We see a lot of people out for their evening walks who stop by for a bite. Our tables are often full of locals who live in the surrounding societies. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a few times and the salt air from the sea isn't great for the paint, but we keep up with it as best as we can. It’s a real place with real people working in it. We aren't part of some big chain. We just focus on getting the food out on time and making sure nobody leaves hungry. Sometimes we forget to update the chalkboard specials, but that's just because we are busy in the back. It is a simple, hardworking life here in Khar West.
