Construma Consultancy Pvt Ltd is located in Javsai Gaon, which is near Ambernath. We are actually based at C O Sg Gaikwad, right near Nair’s Bungalow. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main part of Mumbai, but it’s more peaceful out here. We mostly do consulting work for building projects. This means we give advice on how to build things so they don't fall down. We have piles of books and technical manuals everywhere. It’s not the neatest office you’ve ever seen. Sometimes there are chickens running around outside in the village area, which is a bit different from a city office. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Mr. Gaikwad is usually around to help with the paperwork. We don't do much advertising because we mostly work with people we’ve known for years. It’s a lot of technical talk and checking measurements. Sometimes we spend hours just looking at one specific part of a plan. The weather out here in Ambernath is usually a bit better than in the city, but it still gets very dusty. We don’t have a fancy board room for meetings. We usually just sit around the main table with some tea. It’s a small, family-style operation where everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. We just provide our help and try to be useful to the builders. It works for us and we like being out here.
