Royal Palms is a bit of a weird place because it feels like you’re leaving the city when you drive in through the trees, but then you’re suddenly at this mall area. It’s not your typical shopping mall with big brands; it’s more of a business hub these days. The office is a one-person operation mostly, since it's an OPC, though sometimes there are a couple of people around helping out. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you don’t have your own vehicle because the rickshaws don’t always want to come deep into the estate. But once you’re here, it’s actually quite peaceful compared to the rest of Mumbai. The office has a window that looks out towards some greenery, which is a nice change from looking at concrete walls. We keep things very basic inside. A desk, a chair, a shelf for papers, and a laptop. That’s about it. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a quiet corner to get work done without too many distractions. Sometimes the electricity flickers when there’s a heavy rain, but we’ve learned to save our work often. It’s a practical place for what we do and it works for us.
