We’re located at C 258 Saikrupa in Kandivali West, Mumbai. It’s a typical Mumbai spot, which means it’s always a bit humid and the streets are never quiet. The building has that lived-in feel that you find in older parts of the city. We’re management consultants, but we don’t spend our time in high-rise towers with fancy suits. Our office is more down-to-earth. We have a few files piled up on the corner of the table and a clock that’s always five minutes fast. Most of us take the train to get here, so the first few minutes of the morning are usually spent catching our breath. It’s a small space, so you hear everything that’s going on. We don’t have any big corporate banners or anything. It’s just a door with a name on it. We spend our days looking over numbers and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes we go downstairs for a snack when we need a break. The walls are a little yellowed, and the fan makes a clicking sound when it’s on high. It’s a practical place to work. We don't try to impress anyone with the decor. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to keep things moving. It feels like a real part of the Kandivali neighborhood. There is some old furniture and some newer computers, but it all works well enough for us.
