Computer Operator

My little workspace is located right in the heart of Madanpura, specifically at 127/4 in Madwadi Ki Chawl on M. Azad Road. If you have ever been to Mumbai Central, you know how busy and cramped it can get around here. I run my computer operations from this small room, and while it might not look like much, it is where I spend almost all of my time. The space is pretty tight, so I have to keep everything very organized just to fit a desk, a chair, and my printer. I have a lot of people from the neighborhood dropping by because they need things typed up or they have documents that need to be scanned and sent somewhere. Living and working in a chawl means you are always close to your neighbors, so there is always noise from the street or the hallway, but I don't mind it. It makes me feel like I am part of the local life here. My desk is an old wooden one that has a few scratches, and the walls have some marks where I have leaned against them over the years. I don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. People just know where I am by word of mouth. I try to get through the work as quickly as I can because people in Mumbai are always in a hurry. It is a simple setup, but it gets the job done for everyone in this part of town.
