We are located on the second floor of Vijay Chambers, which is at 1140 Tribhuvan Road. It’s right across from Dreamland Cinema in Grant Road East. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed this area gets. The building is one of those older ones with a narrow staircase, so carrying heavy boxes up to the second floor is always a bit of a workout. We’ve been here at D-2 for quite some time. The office is usually filled with electronic components and boxes stacked up against the walls. It’s a bit cramped, but it’s where we do all our sorting and testing. Grant Road is a loud place, with the trains and the traffic, but once you’re inside the office, you kind of get used to the hum. We handle a lot of different parts, mostly for electronics. It’s not glamorous work. It involves a lot of counting, checking labels, and making sure everything matches the invoices. Sometimes the lights flicker when it rains hard, and the air conditioner makes a weird rattling sound, but we’ve learned to ignore it. We don’t really do fancy presentations. If someone needs a part, they usually just call or come by the shop. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can, but with the traffic outside, deliveries can be a bit unpredictable. It’s just life in this part of the city.
