Our workshop is located at Gala No 2 in the Hek Compound, which is on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East, Mumbai. It’s a busy part of the city, as you can imagine. We are quite close to the Canossa Convent School, so we hear the school bells and the kids sometimes during our lunch break. The compound itself is a bit industrial, but it suits the kind of work we do at Comnet Info Solutions. We’ve got cables and parts scattered around because there’s always something being fixed or put together. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush carpets or glass walls. We’re more about getting our hands dirty with the hardware and making sure the systems are actually working for people. The humidity in Mumbai can be tough on the equipment, so we have to keep an eye on that and keep the fans running constantly. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the other people in the compound pretty well. The traffic around Andheri East is always a bit of a mess, so we usually try to get here early before things get too backed up. Most of the time, the air is thick with the sound of horns and city life. We get a lot of calls from local businesses nearby needing help with their setups. We just take it as it comes, day by day.
