We are right in a residential neighborhood, which gives Cognizant Technology Services a very local and friendly atmosphere. The office is basically a flat that we’ve turned into a workspace. It’s got a kitchen, a few rooms for desks, and a lot of wires running along the floors. We like it this way because it doesn’t feel like a cold, sterile office. We are just a small group of technical people who know how to fix things and build software. Mulund East is a bit quieter than the rest of Mumbai, which is nice when you need to concentrate on difficult problems. We don't have a big sign on the building, just a small nameplate so people know where to go. Most of our days are spent troubleshooting and working on computers. We don't wear suits or have formal meetings. Usually, we just sit around in our casual clothes and talk about what needs to be finished. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We’ve been at Sukruti Apartment for a good while and we know the neighbors well. It is a simple, honest way to run a business and we are happy with how things are going here on Lokmanya Tilak Road.
